Reader's Digest Version 2011

If I'm being honest, I'd have to say 2011 was the worst year of my life(so far). Physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, I was tried and tested- more than I felt was bearable at times. Faced with hard, life-changing decisions, while dealing with the demons of mistakes from my past that haunted me, proved to be overwhelming and disheartening. I had experiences I couldn't have imagined in my wildest dreams, that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemies. I sometimes felt as though I was literally watching my life spin out of control- questioning daily the purpose and meaning of my life on earth. I made too many mistakes, my life was consumed and weighed down by regrets...

In the middle of these memories I began to feel anxious, nervous for yet another year; so I said a quick, quiet prayer. Suddenly, I felt hope and peace in my heart and new thoughts flooded my mind.. A kind, forgiving and merciful Heavenly Father blessed me with a loving family who never gave up on me.. even after I'd given up on myself. I am thankful to have felt their prayers in a time of such despair and darkness. I am thankful for another chance at making my life right again through the Atonement. Tomorrow is a new day, in a new year! I have resolved to 'be my best self'.

This Holiday season was truly wonderful- I was surrounded by my amazing family and we had a lot of fun! Here are some pictures of our adventures:

Then it was Christmas!!

It was really a fantastic Holiday and I am so thankful for my family and many wonderful blessings..

To end on a positive note for the year, in 2011 I excelled academically, learned hard lessons, and was reminded to trust the plan heavenly father has for me, it is perfect (and I will be too, one day). I traveled, enjoyed my family and friends, and was able to appreciate my blessings.

Bring on 2012, I am so ready!

STRIKE

Eddie and I went on a double date last night with our friends Jasen and Amanda.
We all met up at Latitude 30-
The place was modern and really awesome!
We had dinner, bowled and danced all night :)
I was sort of miserable because I've been sick, but still managed to have a fun time!

Finals are officially over and I am really pleased with how well I did this semester!
I can't wait for my family to get here from Utah so we can start having some fun this break.

Pinteresting

I guess sometimes it's ok to be a follower..
I've recently joined the rest of the universe and got a Pinterest account!
It's been pretty entertaining, finding things I like.
I am thankful for a sister who taught me the point of it,
and that I can actually buy the pretty things I find on Pinterest :)

Today was a super lazy day.
I went to the mall,
I went to the puppy store,

and I watched The Green Mile.
Incredible movie.

Last night I went to a Sunday movie with Edward-
We saw The Sitter,
it was super funny!

I'm almost done with all my Christmas shopping!

Dear Santa,

I'd like to start out by saying that
I'm really glad I get to listen to Michael Buble's Christmas album all day.

I had a really great day yesterday.
I spent time with my family.
I cleaned my house.
I found out I got A's on all my finals.
I went to a fun new restaurant for dinner that was delicious with Edward.

And I saw New Years Eve.
I usually wait until Sunday to go to the movies because it is so much cheaper,
but I couldn't wait.
It was such an awesome movie!! I laughed and cried. Totally loved it.

I need to start Christmas Shopping-
I tried today, but for whatever reason I walked around the mall for hours
and purchased NOTHING.

I've been trying to figure out for a long time what I want from Santa this year..
Here is what I came up with:
1. Scuba Diving Certification
2. Beach Cruiser
3. Spa Gift Card
4. Juicy Earmuffs/Headphones
5. $$$
6. Christian Louboutin Pumps

Easy Enough?

XΦ and Finals

First, Edward invited to me to be his date to the Chi Phi Semi-Formal. We went to St. Augustine, got all dressed up and had dinner... Then we just had fun at the hotel and around the town! I had the most handsome date there, and I had a great time.

Sarah and I helped Mom put the finishing touches on our tree, which looks beautiful as always :)

Ed took me on a Sushi date, and we had a pizza night/study date for finals!

Instead of a Sunday movie, I watched Sunday Football with Bob and Ed. The Bills lost, but the Broncos won!

I've been studying like a crazy lady, I'm so glad finals are almost over!!!
