For a Few to be Immortal, Many Must Die.

You know that saying, "I need a vacation from my vacation"?
I'll interpret that to mean that peoples' time off accidentally makes them even more tired..
Well it is definitely safe to say that I, myself, need a weekend from my weekend.
I am exhausted.
But at least I know why...
It's the worlds biggest outdoor cocktail party; better known as Florida/Georgia.
You'd think people would be excited to see the game... but most of them are just interested in the booze.
 (go figure)
We woke up at 8am to be on the Bus that would take us to the stadium by 10am...
The bus didn't come back to get us until 10pm.
It was a really long day.

Ed jumping in the giant celebratory mosh pit.
Here's some crazy drunk guy we talked to who told us he was famous wrestler "back in the day"

It was wild and crazy. It was different and exhausting. But I had fun. The best was when I got Ed away from all the crazies. We sat in front of the stadium and watched the game on the giant screens outside. We kept warm and just enjoyed one another's company. I loved it.
By the end of the night, I was pooped!! I got home and passed out. Even took a super long nap today after church.

For Sunday movie date Ed took me to see In Time after dinner at BJ's. The movie was SO awesome!! Thought provoking and super entertaining, I would see this again and again!
During the movie, theres a part where Justin Timberlake goes crazy and shoots a ton of bad guys... Someone in the movie theater sang "Bye Bye Bye"(N*SYNC??) right after there was that quiet moment after the scene and it was FUNNY!!! Might have been a "you had to be there" thing.. maybe not. I'm still laughing ;)

The Lost Birthdays!

My roomate Cassy and I decided we should have a 'party' at our house last weekend..
Since neither of us had birthday parties, we decided we needed a make up celebration and call it:
THE LOST BIRTHDAYS!
So last night, we invited a few of our good friends over and had an awesome time!
I am so lucky to have such great friends :)
Cassandra & our new friend Mufasa.

Catherine, Karim & I

ROOMIES!

Rico & Tony

For movie night, Ed and I saw The Ides of March. It was a good movie I thought; Not one I'd see again, but I liked it.

Forensicators

This weekend was (for lack of a better adjective) crazy.
Team lunch at some burger joint in Tallahassee.

I drove with my team to my very first forensics tournament in Alabama.
The 8 hours in the van went by fast,
and the campus was beautiful!! The weather was perfect and Alabama is a really awesome school. The sorority and fraternity houses are huge!

I arrived confident; with 3 prepared events (Prose, Impromptu Speaking and Duo)

Little did I know...
This National Competition known as the Alabama Crimson Classic;
has adopted the nickname "The Alabama Blood Bath."
Which, by the way, was exactly that.
Competitors were fierce, it was really intimidating!

With the FSU team

I managed to have tons of fun, and make a lot of new friends!!
I have really smart and talented teammates who made for great company this weekend.
The Team (half of us anyways..)

But I did not travel all that way to lose!!
In my very first competition, I "broke" into semi-finals in my Prose.
And took 3rd place in Impromptu Speaking semi-finals!!
Thats me, 2nd Place!!
It was an incredible experience and I was relieved I didn't come home empty handed.
My next competition is only 3 weeks away!

It feels good to be home, the weekend was exhausting.
Eddie took me out to the Cheesecake Factory tonight,
and now were in the library studying and catching up on homework!

Real Steel= Real Deal

[The title of this post was Edwards reaction to our movie. I laughed histerically when he said this.]
SO.. For Sunday movie night we watched Real Steel.
We both LOVED it, it was a great movie!!

Eddie and I like celebrating.
We love any excuse to go out..
Today is the One year and One month Anniversary [of the day we met]
...but since we would both be so busy today, Ed took me to PF Chang's last friday night.

I've had a busy week preparing for my first Forensics competition this weekend!
I leave for the Alabama Crimson Classic on friday.
I'll be competing in 3 events, and I am really excited to see what happens :]
Wish me luck!
