The Month

It seems I have gotten great at reporting what I'm doing with my life monthly.
I guess it could be worse?

Okay well August has almost ended and it really wasn't super eventful.
Summer school ended;
I realized this summer flew by and I didn't go to the beach nearly as much as I should have.
Next week a new semester will start-
and I'll talk about it in another post. Later.

So here is some of what I've been up to this month, in photos:

Eddie and I go out to eat far too often- Down South BBQ is one of our local favorites!!

My roomate Cassandra graduated from UNF!! Us at her grad party.

Friends at Cassy's grad party.

We had a pizza night at my house- homemade is the best!

I hung out at aunt Patty's house a bunch and she made delicious Bolinho's de Chuva.

Now some people may find this a bit excessive,
but every month Ed and I celebrate our "anniversary."
Really, we just enjoy the excuse to treat ourselves to a fun date monthly and keep things interesting.
(Not that they aren't interesting usually)
Anyways, this month we went to another favorite, Bb's in San Marco!
The food is divine, the atmosphere is great and I love that place.
Then we walked around the Jacksonville Landing, and went to the movies.

The before and after of our AMAZING desserts!!

My beautiful gift from Ed!!!
We watched this at the end of the night.. and it was OK. I was really uncomfortable with the whole old people having sex thing haha but other than that, the movie made me laugh and cry! Meryl Streep is amazing and Tommy Lee Jones is hilarious- but I wont see it again.

I hung out at moms house a lot.

Grandma, Mom and I enjoyed a beautiful day at the Spa! We go massages and had lunch.

This was a cute movie- very predictable and sort of cheesy, but fun and uplifting.

My latest TV show addiction! Love watching the drama unfold.

I watched this with Ed the other night... Very good movie!

July

I cant believe the summer is almost over!
Time is flying.
I have been busy with summer school
and not enjoying the beach nearly as much as I should.
My hard earned tan from the start of the summer is long gone!
My entire family (that lives in FL) went to Brazil for a large part of the month-
I didn't realize how much I would miss them, I am so glad they came back.
The presents weren't so bad either ;]
I have a few photos to summarize what I've been up to most of the month:
Tons of studying/homework with yummy Starbucks iced tea!

Dates with mom at the beautiful Spa at the Inn and Club

Beach Cruising in Paradise

Soup and Flowers from Ed when I got sick.

Silly pictures at a Carrabba's date

Hanging out with my best friend.

Puppy Store Dates

Watched the Bachelorette for the first time- LOVED!

Pretty funny movie, would only recommend it if you like Family Guy.

I really liked this one! I liked the new story line and thought it was a fun movie.

AMAZING! I didn't love the twist, but I was engaged the whole movie and will definitely see it again!

Friends with Kids was a good movie, I didn't know what to expect but I laughed a lot, thought it was an interesting story line, and actually enjoyed the movie.

My fourth of July this year was really lame, by the way.

22

It is hard to believe my birthday has come and gone, again.
Looking back, 21 was no cake walk.. But I learned a lot.
My birthday was a pleasant day.
I got a free birthday sub from Angie's,
spent my day relaxing,
I got my nails done,
and then had a fun birthday dinner with some of my friends at Joe's Crab Shack.

I am determined to make 22 a fantastic year,
where I accomplish great things and find new joy and purpose in my life.

This week I also went to see Rock of Ages. It was an OK movie with pretty good music! A few awkward/unnecessary parts, and only decent acting/singing. Maybe my expectations were too high..

Celebrating

Since Tia Patty and Co. would be out of town for my birthday,
we ended up having multiple early celebrations!
We had dinner at Seasons 52
which I would never recommend to anyone!!
But I had a nice time.

Since Tia is out of town, I am watching the kitties..

Did I mention my sister came to town?!
I had so much fun playing with this little Angel.

One of the things I missed most about living near my sister was going on movie dates with her-
We went to see Snow White and the Huntsman (FANTASTIC movie!!)
And she took me to Dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, yum!

Aunt Patty also made me my favorite Dessert!!
It was gone in two days.

Foodie

I made the most delicious salad.. I keep making it in fact and it is SO easy!
I figured I'd share.
I start with a brown rice and quinoa (90 seconds in the microwave!)
then season some chicken (onion & garlic powder, salt, lemon pepper seasoning)
then pan cook it in some butter/oil (then cut it up and put it on top of the rice)
then add baby greens, tomatos, avocado, carrots, onions, cucumbers (and any other yummy veggies!)
Add a piece of garlic toast or french bread
Then season, I prefer olive oil and salt (eddie is more a ranch dressing man, so thats what he got)

This weekend/week I watched:

So funny, I was surprised to see this movie touch on serious topics. I cried a few times and really loved this!

I wouldnt recommend this. I got a few good laughs,  but in true Sacha Baron Cohen form, this film was super inappropriate!
