ΧΦ Formal & Easter

Playing catch up on the blog again!
I've been busy with the end of the semester coming up,
but there has been plenty of time for fun.

First came Chi Phi Formal in Orlando
We had a formal dinner after arriving Friday night,
Wet&Wild followed a brief breakfast on Saturday.
It started raining hard at the water park so everyone went back to the hotel for a much needed nap!
That night everyone went to City Walk
Dinner at Margaritaville and Mini Golf.
Sunday was going home day, but Ed took me to Johnny Rockets for lunch
then we walked around Downtown Disney.
We watched a movie and then drove back..
The Guys and the Girls

My Handsome Date

Downtown Disney

The new Legos are amazing!

Dark Shadows :)

Margaritaville!

I really liked this movie, it was fun and uplifting with a good message.

THEN it was EASTER!!!
I had such a great time with my family and was happy to host an Easter for Ed,
who's family was not in town.
We had a nice brunch at Tia's
dinner at Mom's
and an Easter Egg hunt and games at Tia's.
It was a wonderful day of food, fun and family
and a day to be thankful for a loving Savior who gave His life, for ME and you.

Last night Ed and I met our friends Jasen and Amanda at Joe's Crabshack
(thats where Eddie works, so we get 50% off!)

This was such a cute movie, it was funny and a great story!
Our new favorite treat is home made IceCream Sundae's
complete with whipped cream, chocolate syrup and Pirouline sticks!

The Film Critic

I must admit, lately I feel like my "dream job" would probably have to be a Food Critic.
Think about it. You get to go to restaurants and try all the food, then tell people what you think of it!
You get paid to go eat and write about your experience!!! It would be amazing!

For now, I'll stick to critiques on my blog.
And for today, I figured I'd get all caught up on the movies I've been watching and not posting about.

AWESOME movie! Great action and story line, very entertaining! I am a huge Denzel fan, this movie didn't disappoint!

Okay, so I absolutely adored the Hunger Games book series.. so I am a little sad to announce that the movie wasn't really all I had hoped it would be. Don't get me wrong, it was a good movie; It just didn't thrill me like I thought it would. The books are a million times better!!

I absolutely HATED this movie. It had a terrible and completely ridiculous story line, tons of uncomfortable nudity, entirely too much cursing and was honestly one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I would advise everyone to never subject yourself to such a horrible movie experience.

This was a great movie! It had a lot of funny parts, and I love Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum together! This was a fun movie.

I guess this was a pretty good movie. It doesn't really compare to a soldier movie like G.I. Jane (one of my faves'..)... but it wasn't bad. I wouldn't watch it again; the acting was horrible and I was pretty depressed leaving the theatre.

So this was a really good Date Night movie! I loved the twists in the story and laughed really hard throughout this fun and really entertaining film! The action was cheesy but it worked well with the type of movie. I really liked this one!

I think you either love or hate Tyler Perry films.. I personally love them. They are predictable, but tell good stories of tough situations people go through. I always love the messages in his movies, so this was no exception! Good movie, I'd recommend it.

Here is an oldie, but certainly a goodie!! This Rober Downey Jr. movie is heartwarming and so much fun! It makes me laugh and cry and really is just a wonderful story. I always used to watch it with my family- we love it.

I don't know why I started watching all these old movies- but Overboard is another fun one!  I've probably watched this movie 50 times but it never stops being funny and I never get bored of the story. It's really cute, anyone would like this movie.
That's All Folks! more to come.. especially since tomorrow is Movie Sunday!!
236 days until the Breaking Dawn part2 Premiere!

Spring Break 2012

The previous were pictures of the last trip I took to Orlando! This was the best trip to Orlando ever! Since I'm not at UNF, most of my friends have a different Spring Break than me... So we decided to head down for Orlando for a night! We stayed at the Royal Pacific at Universal Studios and it was amazing! The hotel is so beautiful and everything was perfect. My friend from Colorado (Hannah) and her boyfriend came and I was so happy to see her and catch up. They didn't have passes to the parks so Eddie and I went on our own both days. We got to have dinner at Texas De Brazil, and it was delicious! We all relaxed by the pool, walked around City Walk and just enjoyed each others' company.  I got pictures at our Magic Game with my great 'Stuff' hat :) I really didn't want the weekend to end.

My actual Spring Break was much less eventful. I went to the beach and Gym almost every day, and got to spend a lot of time with my Mom. I am so thankful for her, and happy to have been blessed with such a wonderful, loving Mother.

I am ready to go back to school and be busy again.
In 48 days I'm going on a CRUISE!!!

Monster Jam

This time last year I was working for Jacksonville's local radio station
95.1 WAPE
and I had to work a tent at an event called The Monster Jam.
In case you don't already know what that is,
a bunch of hicks and trailer trash people come together
and watch giant monster trucks race and do tricks.
It's pretty lame to be honest...
but everyone dresses up as trashy as possible
(if they aren't that trashy normally, which most of the people are...)
and end up having a good time.
Eddie invited me to his Fraternity Date function-
The Monster Jam!
I went.
And as usual, we had a great time!

I was just glad I wasn't working there.
And glad to have gone on an actual date with Edward- it's been a while.
Through up's down's crazie's & confusion's
he sticks around always... as a loyal and loving friend.
One of my Best Friends, even.

FIFA

My last Forensics tournament has come and gone;
bringing a great end to quite a rewarding experience.
I tried out for Forensics early in the Fall semester,
(at the request of my Speech teacher)
hoping to make new friends and earn a full ride scholarship.
After taking one of the 10 spots on the team I realized
Forensics was not as easy as it seemed!
I learned a lot, gained tons of confidence, met really awesome people,
memorized over an hour worth of speeches,
got recognized/recruited by some of the best Universities in the East,
and kicked butt at tournaments winning medals and trophies!!

FIFA was the Florida State Tournament
(in Pensacola, again)
and it was not easy!!
But I managed to place overall 2nd place in Duo Interpretation
and overall 3rd place in Dramatic Interpretation
and overall 4th place in Readers Theater.

Everyone who wore purple!

The Girls.

I was pleased with my results,
but most of all...
pleased to have tried something new & challenging,
and sticking it out all the way through.
